Beaded jewelry – Cabochon!!!


Do you like beaded jewelry? What about cabochons in jewelry? Yes? So this post for you!! Today we learn to cover cabochons with beads.

Cabochons may be of different size, form and colour:

If you cover cabochon with beads, you can get these one:


Here I used different techniques of covering, but today we discuss one of them: cross stitch chain.

At first we must make chain of necessary length:


So, make chain of diameter a little bit smaller than size of cabochon. Join both ends of the chain by extra fragment of the chain. Then put an extra row of decoration beads, like this:


Put in this cover cabochon and make the last row from the back.  If the cabochon is more than 3 mm, you may make 2 or 3 extra rows of beads. And our cabochon is ready!! You can make a spiral following this pattern:


and to put cabochon on this spiral. Spiral can be made of two colours. And what you get at the end:
