Beaded jewelry – Beaded earrings or Earrings for bellydance

Today we’ll make such interesting laced earrings:

Maybe the colour of earrings is not very nice, but my bellydance costume is embroidered by these seed beads and round beads. That’s why I’ve made earrings from these gold seed beads. If you are interested in what costume is, here it is and I’m in it:

If you like the bracelet, you can find it and look at it here.

So, let’s continue with our beaded earrings.

I think everything is rather clear while looking at pictures, but of course i’ll add some comments on them. So, let’s start!!

You’ll need the following:

String 10 seed beads and close it into circle.

String more 14 beads.

Close into circle, put the needle into 3rd beads from the base.

You’ll get two eyelets.

Again string 14 beads and close them, put the needle into the 3rd beads from the base.

Continue this procedure. We need 5 such eyelets.

Then string 2 more beads and put the needle into 5 beads of our first circle.

String 26 beads. Put the needle into 10th beads form the end of the beaded string. Close into circle, after that we’ll get one more eyelet.

String 4 beads and put the needle into 5th beads from the base of the previous eyelet.

String 11 seed beads and put the needle into the bead of the very first circle, as you see on the picture.

Then go through beads to the second bead of the first eyelet, as you see on picture.

String 1 seed beads (you can take bead of another colour, for example) and put the needle into this bead but from the opposite side. then go to the third bead of the eyelet.

Continue this procedure through the whole eyelet, including last bead.

Do the same on each beaded eyelet.

Sew the bead in the middle of the string.

Go to the long string and do the same framing.

Doing the framing, sew another bead.

Coming to the end of the long string, go to the small eyelet and do the same.

Then go to the second small eyelet.

And again to the first small eyelet but from another side.

And to the second side of the long string. Doing this, don’t forget to sew another side of the big bead.

So, the earring is ready!!

Now just sew the clasp and the earring is ready сompletely!!!

Do the second one and you may put them on!!

Can you tell us the sizes of the beads? Do you know if the smaller beads are 8/0s or 11/0s? And what is the diameter of the larger beads?

I ask because I like your design and would like to do my own version, but I’d also like more information so that I don’t struggle so hard!

Yes, i know sizes of beads. The larger the number of size of beads, the smaller the bead is. So 8 is bigger than 11. The diameter of 11 is approx. 2 mm, so the diameter of 8 is approx.2,5 mm (i think)

I think Allie was asking what size beads you used in your work. It would be helpful if you could share that information.
