Beaded jewelry – Beaded clasp!!

I think everybody’s faced with the problem of clasp.  sometimes there is no ready metallic or plastic clasps or maybe they do not suit to the beaded jewelry. So, you can do it by yourself!! I know many of you know how to make this beaded clasp but after all I decided to  give this tutorial on beaded clasp.

The original version of tutorial is here.

So, we’ll get such nice clasp:

String 4 beads.

Close into circle. As the result you’ll get the square.

String two more beads and close them into circle, as you see on the picture.

As you see on the picture put the needle into the first two beads. We’ll get such pyramid with three equal sides.

Top view.

Continue making our clasp. We begin to knit upwards. String two beads and put the needle into the next bead, as on the picture.

Then put the needle into the next bead of the same raw and up through the strung bead.

String one bead and put the needle into the open bead of the second raw.

Again back through the next bead of the second raw and bead of the third raw.

Do the same until you get the necessary length of the future clasp. (I’ve made 8 raws).

After that we should make the leg of our clasp. Find the middle of the spiral (4 and 5 raws). String two beads and close them into circle (see picture).

Then string two more beads and again close into circle.

Continue until you’ll get the necessary length of the leg (in our case 3 raws).

Now just sew the clasp to bracelet or necklace and that’s all!

Here you can see another necklaces tutorials Step By Step Beads and Step by Step Beading.

Good luck!!

See you next post!!
